The photographs, digital works and paintings that fill this gallery, hung by Eileen Cooper RA and Bill Jacklin RA, celebrate the messy reality of life. Some of these works focus on the private places we go to escape: the shed or the garden, or the magical world of the imagination. The room is dominated by BEARD SPEAK by Gilbert & George RA. Its vivid digital colours and use of text and complex layers of appropriated photographs and self-portraits are typical of their work. Personal services are advertised in a bold white typeface, affording us a peephole into private worlds and intimate encounters.
