Barbara Rae RA and Hughie O’Donoghue RA have continued the environmental themes in Gallery IV with their selection of limited-edition prints. Here, the wonders of the natural world abound with swarming bees, atmospheric skies and flocks of birds. Although there are numerous interpretations of nature and its inhabitants, it is perhaps Dorothy Cross’s luminescent prints that best represent the fragility of living things. They are printed with ink containing particles that, when ‘charged’ by daylight, glow in the dark and slowly fade as time passes.
