Room: Large Weston Room

Large Weston Room

Curated by architect David Adjaye RA – whose brother Peter Adjaye designed an immersive soundscape especially for the Architecture Room – the Large Weston Room is interspersed with works by Allison Grace Williams, Doreen Adengo, Alberto Kalach, Mariam Kamara, Sir David Chipperfield RA and the late Professor Trevor Dannat RA.

Works in this room focus on site, geography, climate, politics, activism, people, community and culture. As David Adjaye said: “Climate and geography create a set of constantly changing physical and societal conditions. It is in these conditions that architecture – regardless of its philosophical origins – has to take its place and adapt its identity.”
